I’m a bit in a recycling/upcycling mood lately. However, this little project wasn’t really intended… I was just about to throw away another DIN B4 envelope when I saw the rising pile of waste paper and thought about how to reuse at least a bit of it…

He recently cleared out his wardrobe. One of the pieces that were to be discarded was an old black knitted sweater, a bit faded, a bit outworn. But still, I thought, too good to just throw away. I took it out of the bag already prepared to give away and instead did some improvisation sewing with this result: a simple but unique autumnal clutch with a whiff of art noveau.

Phew! Last class tests corrected, final grades made! During the last days there’ve been a few points of despair and frustration (“Where have you been during our lessons?!” – “Hey, it is your mother tongue!”). I probably wouldn’t have survived without the help of chocolate cookies. Now this work is done and I am so happy and relieved to have at least a bit more time for … living. And being creative again!
